A silent love story. The Mute is a symphonic theater piece performed without words, and was written by Christian Eriksen and Janove Ottesen.

The performance is told with the tools of the silent film, wordless acting, tailored expressive music, refined scenography, effective lighting design and video, characterful costumes and choreographed body language.

The Mute premiered in Stavanger Konserthus in 2019 to outstanding reviews and played seven sold-out performances. In the same year, it won the Hedda Prize for both "Performance of the Year" and for "Best scenography, costume design and mask".
